Privacy Policy for 3 Grams AI
Effective date: 24/05/2026
App version: 2.0.0+
This Privacy Policy explains how RizBit (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use 3 Grams AI, aka 3 Grams AI Weight Estimator (the “App”), including the Android app, iOS app, and any future web version we make available.
The App is operated by RizBit, a UK-based developer and IT freelancer. For the purposes of UK GDPR and EU GDPR, RizBit is the data controller for the processing described in this Privacy Policy.
Our app uses third-party services including OpenAI or Google Gemini for AI analysis (referred to throughout this policy as the “AI Analysis Service”), Google AdMob for advertising, RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management, and Firebase services for limited analytics and conversion measurement.

Overview of the App
The app allows users to take a photo or choose a photo from their device, optionally enter a description of the object, and request an object analysis and estimations of weight and dimensions.
The App currently operates on a free plan model with one or more free credits for new users, optional rewarded ads for additional credits where available, and optional Premium subscriptions offered through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
First Run and Consent Flow
When you first install and open the App, you are shown an in-app disclosure. You are then shown Google AdMob UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent options for advertising, including consent for personalised ads where required by law. This consent can later be managed from the App’s About section using Manage Ad Consent. Please note in some cases due to your connection or server side technical issues the UMP may be reshown, to reascertain consent.
Where required by law, analytics, advertising, and related measurement processing by Google services may also be subject to your consent choices, device settings, region, and platform controls.
What Information We Process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of information:
- Images you choose or capture, for analysis & weight estimation.
- Optional text you enter, such as object descriptions or other object-related details (“Object Info”).
- Technical identifiers, including a device identifier generated and stored locally in the App using AsyncStorage.
- IP address information, used on our server for abuse prevention, rate limiting, security, and basic operational logging.
- Local app data, such as history entries, credits, custom reference objects, last request time, consent-related settings, premium status cache, restore state, and app state stored on your device.
- Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob and related Google services, depending on your consent choices and device/platform settings.
- Subscription and purchase-related data, such as app user identifiers used by RevenueCat, purchase status, entitlement status, receipt or purchase token information, and related transaction status data required to validate and manage Premium access.
- Limited analytics and attribution data processed through Firebase services, such as app install attribution, first app open, and related automatically collected app analytics events used for app measurement and Google Ads conversion tracking.
- Feedback and report data, such as star ratings, optional comments, whether you submitted the rating as a report, your platform, and related analysis / weight estimation details you submit with that feedback.
- Optional report images, including a reduced-size thumbnail image you used for the estimation task, when reporting an inaccurate result.
Ratings, Feedback, and Reports
The App may allow you to rate an analysis or weight estimate result and, in some cases, report a result as inaccurate or poor. If you choose to submit feedback, we may process your star rating, optional comments, platform, and related estimation details associated with the result you are rating.
If you choose to upload the analysis task’s image when submitting a report, we may upload and store a reduced-size thumbnail version of the image used for that AI analysis. This is optional and is only sent if you choose to attach it.
We use ratings, reports, and optional report images to review inaccurate results, investigate issues, improve the App, improve analysis & estimation features, support product development, and help train or refine our internal understanding of common failure cases.
Please do not include unnecessary personal information in comments or images submitted through the feedback or report feature.
Permissions We Use
The Android app currently uses the following permissions: CAMERA, INTERNET, and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. The App blocks broad image library/storage permissions such as READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, and READ_MEDIA_IMAGES.
- CAMERA is used when you choose to take a photo in the App.
- INTERNET is used to upload your image and send requests to our server and third-party services.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE may be used to support connectivity-aware behaviour and/or advertising SDK operation.
- com.android.vending.BILLING for Google Play billing functionality to facilitate in-app purchases and subscriptions where supported
Google Play billing functionality is used to support Premium subscriptions, purchase validation, and related subscription management on Android.
On supported devices, the App uses the system image/photo picker for selecting photos from your gallery rather than requesting broad photo library access.
How the Analysis & Weight Estimation Feature Works
When you use the ‘Analyse Object’ feature, the image you select or capture is processed in the App and then uploaded to our server infrastructure. The App then sends a request for analysis together with selected settings, your locally generated device ID, and any optional Object Info or reference object data you provide.
Your uploaded image is temporarily stored in a Cloudflare R2 bucket so it can be retrieved for processing. The image is deleted from our server immediately after processing on our side, and the copy stored in the bucket is also intended to be temporary and deleted as part of our processing flow.
Your image and related prompt data may then be sent to our AI Analysis Service, such as OpenAI or Google Gemini, for the purpose of identification, and generating estimates of particulars such as weight and dimensions.
We do not use your uploaded images or Object Info to identify you personally. However, please avoid submitting unnecessary personal information in images or text.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
If you purchase or restore a Premium subscription, the App uses RevenueCat to help validate purchases, manage subscription entitlements, support restore purchases, reduce fraud, and determine whether Premium access should be enabled on your device.
In connection with this, RevenueCat may process data such as an anonymous app user ID, product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction status, receipt information, purchase tokens, and basic device or app environment information required for subscription functionality.
We do not receive your full card or payment details. Payments are processed by Apple and Google through their own billing systems.
Advertising and Rewarded Ads
The App may show app open ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, and in-house promotional content. Advertising may be provided through Google AdMob and related Google services.
If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, advertising-related processing may occur to serve, measure, limit, secure, and report that ad interaction. Rewarded credits may depend on successful ad loading and completion.
Depending on your region, consent status, platform, and device settings, Google may process data such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interaction data, diagnostics, and other advertising-related information as described by Google.
In-house banner ads are non personalized.
Firebase Analytics and Conversion Tracking
The App uses Firebase services, including Firebase Analytics, for limited analytics and attribution purposes. This includes automatically collected app events such as first app open and related app activity that help us measure installs and app opens in connection with Google Ads app install campaigns.
We use this mainly for conversion measurement and attribution rather than for building detailed user profiles ourselves. We do not separately maintain our own independent database of Firebase first_open event records for individual users.
Firebase and related Google services may still process technical and usage data in accordance with Google’s own systems, controls, and policies.
