Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Tasbih99 (Tasbih & 99 Names of Allah) mobile & web application (the “App”) operated by Rizbit UK (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms & the app disclosure shown when you first launch the app. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Description of Service

Tasbih99 is an Islamic educational and devotional app that provides:

  • Digital Tasbih (zikr) counter with sound and vibration feedback, multiple counter styles including random grid mode, and shake-to-count
  • Zikr history tracking with daily charts and progress
  • The 99 Names of Allah (Asma ul-Husna) with Arabic, transliteration, English meanings, benefits, and audio pronunciation via TTS
  • Accurate Prayer Times based on location with 12 calculation methods, 2 madhab options, sunrise time, and live “Up Next” countdown
  • Qibla direction compass using device sensors
  • Browse and search across 10 authentic Hadith collections with full-text search, offline download, and share as images
  • Random Hadith display with English audio narration via TTS and full reference citation
  • Daily dhikr reminders at custom times and prayer time notifications
  • Global zikr statistics (optional participation)
  • Text-to-Speech for Arabic and English content

4. No Account Required

The App does not require account creation, registration, or login. Certain features such as premium subscriptions generate a device-level identifier via third-party services (RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Firebase) for the purpose of entitlement verification, analytics, and advertising. These identifiers are not tied to a personal account and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Premium Subscriptions

The App offers optional premium subscription plans (monthly and annual) that unlock additional features including but not limited to:

  • Ad-free experience (no advertisements)
  • Shake-to-count tasbih counter feature
  • Customise tap counter appearance with multiple themes
  • Save Allah’s Names and Hadiths to favourites
  • Browse and search across all 10 Hadith collections (free: Bukhari only)
  • View full 365 days of prayer times (free: 2 days)
  • Download Hadith collections for full offline access
  • Access to any new premium features added in future updates
  • Support independent Islamic app development

5.1 Payment and Billing

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on mobile apps, and Stripe on web platforms. Subscription prices are clearly displayed before purchase and may vary by region and are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify pricing and subscription plans at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of any price changes affecting their renewal.

5.2 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time through your device’s App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.3 Device-Locked Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are tied to the device-level identifier created during purchase and are not transferable across platforms (e.g., Apple to Android) or devices. This is because the App does not use username-based accounts. If you switch devices, you may need to restore your purchase on the new device using the same app store account.

5.4 Availability

Premium subscription plans and pricing may vary by country or region. We reserve the right to change the features, content, and availability of premium plans. Refunds are subject to the applicable app store refund policy. We may make available special offers, promo codes, and free trials at any time as we choose.

6. Advertising

6.1 Free Plan Ads

Users on the free plan may see advertisements within the App. These include:

  • In-house banner advertisements (served directly by us)
  • Third-party advertisements served via Google AdMob, including interstitial ads and app open ads

You can remove ads by watching a short rewarded video ad, available on the Settings Screen. Please note this is subject to availability of rewarded ads and removal of ads is temporary (minimum of 1 hour). We reserve the right to change the ad removal time whenever we want by any amount. If you uninstall the app or clear app storage, ad removal will be disabled.

6.2 Personalised Ads

Google AdMob may collect device information, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve personalised advertisements. Users are presented with Google’s UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent form on first launch, allowing them to accept or decline personalised advertising. Consent preferences can be changed at any time via the “Ad Preferences” option in Settings.

6.3 Premium Users

Premium subscribers will not see any advertisements (in-house or third-party) while their subscription remains active.

7. Global Zikr Statistics

The App allows users to optionally share their zikr counts to global statistics. When enabled, your country name may be determined from your IP address or approximate location and included alongside your anonymised contribution so you can see what others are reciting worldwide. This feature is intended to provide genuine, real-world devotional statistics. By contributing, you agree to:

  • Only submit genuine zikr counts that you have personally performed
  • Not submit artificially inflated, automated, or false counts
  • Understand that we reserve the right to filter, moderate, or remove contributions that appear fraudulent or abusive

Global zikr contributions can be turned off at any time from the Tasbih Counter settings screen. Your precise coordinates are never stored — only your country name is transmitted for statistical purposes.

8. Content Accuracy

We have made every effort to ensure that the 99 Names of Allah, their meanings, benefits, Hadith texts, prayer times, and all Islamic content presented in the App are accurate and in accordance with the Quran and authentic Hadith. However, if you believe any content is incorrect or could be improved, please contact us at [email protected] so we can review and correct it.

9. Text-to-Speech

Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality is used for audio pronunciation of the 99 Names of Allah, Hadith narration, and general Arabic/English content throughout the App. TTS is dependent on your device’s capabilities. Some devices may require the download and installation of additional language packs (Arabic and English) for full functionality. The App is not responsible for the quality or availability of TTS on your device.

10. Hadith

The App provides access to browse, search, and read from 10 authentic Hadith collections including Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, and others. Features include:

  • Browse by Book and Chapter
  • Direct navigation to any Hadith by number
  • Full-text search across multiple collections
  • Download collections for full offline browsing and search
  • Share Hadith as snapshot images with beautiful post messages
  • Random Hadith display with English audio narration via TTS

To minimise server load and ensure fair usage for all users, the Random Hadith refresh feature may require a short waiting period between consecutive requests. This cooldown period is applied automatically and may vary. Browsing and searching downloaded collections work fully offline.

11. Prayer Times & Qibla Direction

The App provides prayer times calculated based on your current location and selected calculation method. Key details:

  • 12 calculation methods are available to match your region and school of thought
  • 2 madhab options for Asr calculation (Shafi, Hanafi, Maliki)
  • Sunrise time is displayed to assist with Ishraq and Duha prayer timing
  • A live “Up Next” countdown shows time remaining until the next prayer
  • Free users can view 2 days ahead; premium subscribers can view up to 365 days
  • Prayer times work offline after initial location fetch
  • Qibla direction is provided via a live compass using device sensors and works offline. Accuracy depends on device and device settings. We are not responsible for inaccurate measurements as a result.

Prayer times are estimates based on astronomical calculations and should not be relied upon for exact timing without verification from your local mosque or religious authority. We are not responsible for incorrect prayer times arising from inaccurate device location, sensor calibration, or calculation method selection.

12. Location & Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

  • Location access — used to calculate accurate prayer times, determine Qibla direction, and optionally determine your country when submitting global zikr stats. Your precise coordinates are never stored. Only a general area (for prayer times) or your country name (for zikr stats) is used on-device or transmitted.
  • Push notifications — used for daily zikr reminders and prayer time alerts. You can enable or disable these at any time via your device settings or the App’s settings screen.
  • Microphone access — used only for the optional Sound Counter feature to detect hand claps and sounds for hands-free tasbih counting. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. Microphone access is used only while the Sound Counter is actively listening. You can deny this permission and still use all other features of the App.
  • Internet access — required for certain features such as fetching prayer times, downloading Hadith collections, submitting global zikr stats, and serving advertisements. Core features (Tasbih counter, 99 Names, Prayer Times, Qibla) work offline after initial setup.

13. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymised usage data, including first-open events, to help us understand install sources and improve the App. This data is collected in accordance with Google’s privacy policy and our Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

14. Premium-Only Features

The following features are available exclusively to premium subscribers:

  • Ad-free experience — no banner ads or interruptions
  • Shake-to-Count tasbih counter mode with customizable shake sensitivity
  • Customise tap counter appearance with multiple themes
  • Save Allah’s Names and Hadiths to favourites for quick reference
  • Browse and search across all 10 Hadith collections (free: Bukhari only)
  • View full 365 days of prayer times (free: 2 days)
  • Download Hadith collections for full offline access
  • Any additional features designated as premium in future updates

15. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code within the App are the property of Rizbit UK or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

16. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

19. GDPR Compliance

  • You have the right to data portability
  • Consent for personalised advertising can be withdrawn at any time via “Ad Preferences” in Settings
  • Anonymised global zikr contributions can be stopped at any time via the Tasbih Counter settings
